About

Thanks for stopping by!  In case you’re wondering where you are, here’s a little bit about me and The Outlaw Mom (TM) blog:

What is The Outlaw Mom (TM) blog?

At The Outlaw Mom (TM) blog, you can witness firsthand my discovery of the laws of Motherhood and how I irreverently break them with abandon (often more than) one at a time.  I also document my daily life with Jane and Sam and the shenanigans we get up to from time to time.  We try to craft and bake as much as we can, so check out our Toddler Activity and LEARN! posts for ideas on what to do with your own little ones.

What is your Posting Schedule?

I often post randomly to the blog, but tend to post to this schedule:

  • Mindful Monday (posts focused on the journey to becoming a more mindful person and parent)
  • CRAVE IT. COVET. LOVE IT (TM) (a weekly Wednesday feature of all things fabulous)
  • Toddler Thursday (crafts, projects and activities for little ones)
  • The Friday Yum (baked good ideas and other The Outlaw Mom (TM) Recipes to send you into the weekend)

Who is behind the The Outlaw Mom (TM) blog?

I’m Chrissy – a lawyer mom experimenting with the stay-at-home life since July of this year.  I’ve been in the law game for over ten years and joined the ranks of Motherhood 2.5 years ago.  Not one to wait around for those good things that come in small packages, I had my two babies, Jane and Sam (whose names have been changed to protect their innocence) more or less back to back.  During the past few whirlwind years, I’ve been on a fluctuating full-time, reduced hours and part-time work schedule at a law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I started The Verdict, where I blawg about chasing the ever-elusive state of work-life balance, to help me decide whether I should even take this temporary hiatus from my career to focus on family.  We’ll see how long I last in my new “job,” but I’ll be sure to have as much fun as I can every day and share the fun with you!

How would you describe yourself in a word or two?

A walking contradiction.

What are the CRAVE IT.  COVET.  LOVE IT. (TM) weekly features?

Every Wednesday I feature a product, place, food, drink or idea that I crave, covet or love for the moment.  The features are not always practical, but they’re always fabulous!  Want to see something specific featured?  Let me know!

How can I get in touch with you?

E-mail me at theoutlawmom [at] gmail [dot] com.  You can also follow me on Twitter and Pinterest and become a fan on Facebook.

How can I be featured as a Guest Blogger aka Bandit?

If you’re interested in submitting a blog article to be published on The Outlaw Mom (TM) blog, please send me an e-mail.  Posts that are generally “mommy,” family, children or parenting related will be considered.  I’d also love to feature your latest DIY, craft and baking projects or tutorials if you have something fantastic that you’d like to show off.

Are your reviews or features sponsored?

Not at this time; but if you have a product, service, blog or website that you think my readers would love to know about, e-mail me!

I like your blog- Kudos to trying to find the work-life balance- Staying home now and loving it after failing for years to find it myself! Looks like you’re licking it! 🙂 Although, I spend probably as much time blogging as if I were back at work- haven’t figured that out yet. haha.

Oh, thank you so much – glad you enjoy browsing around here 🙂 Love all your fun kids’ activities at critters and crayons!

It is difficult, isn’t it. Finding that balance right now with two small kids and working a 24/7 job feels like balancing on a tight rope without a net! We’ll see what the future holds….
